I’m not selling!

November 1st, 2009

I’m not selling RSS2twitter!

The auction has ended and I didn’t get any serious offer.

I’ve decided to keep working on RSS2twitter and to make it a better service.

You may have experienced some problems with the service for the last few weeks, I’m sorry for the trouble caused, the system is much faster and reliable now.

I’ll have good news soon…

    This service is great!

Maybe a way to monetize it would be to offer more frequent updates in exchange of some ads links you would include let’s say once every 10 twits?

    This is a brilliant idea.

Some day, maybe 5 or more years from now, web sites feeding their updates via Twitter (or similar) will be as common as sites feeding via RSS. But until then, this service is highly useful and needed.

If you need help from the community in making it go, please ask.

Thinking about Anabel’s suggestion in this thread, I can imagine targeted ads based upon the content of the feed, like Google does with email and web pages.

I think RSS2Twitter is excellent! With all the rumours about selling etc, and the “Problems with service” I did, temporarily moved my feeds “elsewhere”.

But – I have to say, I am really pleased that you’re back up and running here as well. (Stick a “Papal Donate” button on every page – if it’s not there already RSS2Twitter is an invaluable service!

Got a slight problem though at the moment…I have three Yahoo Pipes feeds coming through RSS2Twitter on one of my Twitter accounts…

But instead of 3 or 4 updates every 24 hours or so – I’m getting 5, 6, 11(!) etc – it seems it’s posting ALL updates instead of the number selected?

    Any clues?

    Thanks

    Paul

I just found this service because I was looking for something other than Twitterfeed. You service is better than Twitterfeed’s and hopefully it’ll start to spread faster.

I hope Google or MS give you a holler. this could be value added code for some of the twitter things they are doing.

You did a great job. Thanks.

    Hi

For some reason our recent request for twitter broadcasts from RSS feeds do not seem to be performing as they should. Is there anyway we can help?

It would be great to talk to you.

    Best wishes

    Charles
